What do i wear for my business headshot or branding session?
What to wear is the question almost every client asks at consult, and most of it gets easier once you know your industry. After your consult you get a generalized what-to-wear guide: bring layers, formal options like structured jackets alongside more relaxed pieces (jeans, skirts, knits), things that feel like you instead of a costume, and silhouettes that flow away from any body parts you'd rather not emphasize. Skip close stripes, they get weird on camera. Bring extras. Then we adapt to your industry. Attorneys, financial advisors, and healthcare professionals usually want polished and conservative. Designers, creative directors, beauty founders, and agency leadership lean into structured, fashion-forward looks because that's what their clients expect to see. For deeper one-on-one wardrobe support before your business headshot session in Minneapolis or St. Paul, an optional 30-minute Zoom wardrobe consult covers specific pieces from your closet, colors that work with your skin tone and your brand, and a plan tailored for LinkedIn, your website, press, or speaking.
How do I choose between a full headshot session and a mini session?
Full sessions are built for people who need a library of images: multiple looks, multiple platforms, ongoing professional use. You get up to two hours, full outfit changes, a full planning consultation, and a curated gallery to choose your collection from. Mini sessions are built for one-and-done updates, 30 minutes, three looks, two finished images for $490. If you'll be using these images across LinkedIn, your website, press, speaking, and email signatures for the next year or more, the full session pays for itself. If you just need to retire a five-year-old headshot, the mini is exactly right.
How long until I get my headshot images?
Your full proof gallery is delivered within one week of your session, and you'll have seven days to review and select your images. Final retouched files are delivered within two weeks of your collection selection. Mini session images are delivered within two weeks of your session.
Can I use these headshots for marketing, press, and printed materials?
Yes. Every image you receive includes full personal and commercial use and printing rights. Use them on LinkedIn, your website, press features, books, executive bios, marketing collateral, signage, and email signatures. High-resolution files are sized for print and large-format use.
I don't photograph well for headshots. Will this actually work for me?
Most people who say this have never been photographed by someone trained to direct them. Posing, expression, jaw angle, hand placement, where to look, when to breathe - all of that is coached in real time. You'll see your images on the screen as we shoot, so adjustments happen on the spot instead of being a post-session surprise. Confidence in front of a camera is a skill, and it's my job to coach it out of you.
Do you photograph team headshots and groups?
Yes. Team and corporate sessions are quoted by group size, with custom pricing for teams of any scale. Sessions happen at Studio 350 with no additional fee, or I can bring the studio to your office or location with an on-site setup fee. Each person receives one retouched headshot, with additional images available as add-ons.
What if I need more headshot images after my session?
Your proof gallery includes everything from your session. You'll have seven days to select your favorites and purchase a collection, and tier-based collection pricing means a larger set typically delivers more value per image than picking one or two at a time.
After your order, your gallery stays open for an additional 30 days so you can add à la carte images later if you decide you want more. Past that window, the gallery closes.
