This is it!! The High School Senior Portrait season is officially kicked off!!  {So. Excited}  I absolutely love photographing seniors from all areas around the Minneapolis & St. Paul Metro area!  Taking the time to chat with each senior and get to know them, their talents, style, likes, dislikes and designing a unique senior photography experience around them is my absolute favorite!! What’s better than hanging out and tromping through wonderfully pretty places while taking amazing pictures?  So. Much. Fun.

Um..and can I say I am absolutely in love with Senior Portrait model Erin’s session? Erin’s family stables horses at a gorgeous barn in Rogers, MN.  I think her sister told me… 4 horses? (but don’t quote me on that because they also have 2 new colts that I got to play with!)  Erin thought the perfect place to show off her style would be at the horse barn so we grabbed her  boots and cowboy hat and headed off!!

The night was gorgeous (we’d been fighting rain and rescheduled a couple of times) and my wonderful makeup and hair artist Andrea got Erin all glammed up while I poked around the barn and fields for some photo spots.   Truthfully?  We really couldn’t have gone wrong there!  Plus, Erin’s amazing little sister came along to help with the horse shots and showed me a bunch of great places she had found too. (Seriously THE BEST photo assistant.  I should hire her!)

FYI, I HIGHLY recommend getting a hair/makeup artist for your Senior session.  They truly make a beautiful portrait into a stunner!
