If you’re a senior from Wayzata, Armstrong, Providence Academy, or anywhere else in Plymouth, and you want senior pictures that don’t look like everyone else’s in your class, you’re in the right place.
I’m Megan. I run a boutique senior portrait studio in St. Paul and I work with seniors from all over the Twin Cities, Plymouth absolutely included. N
ot a stand-in-a-field-and-smile photographer.
Not a big-box studio churning through volume.
A creative, cinematic, editorial senior experience built around you.
Every session includes professional hair and makeup. Every session includes creative direction and guided posing. Every session is built around your actual personality, not what’s trending on Pinterest this season.
Studio sessions happen at my space in St. Paul, about 20 to 25 minutes from Plymouth depending on traffic. Most Plymouth seniors choose a studio-based session because the results are editorial, dramatic, and completely yours. We can also incorporate outdoor and on-location work in the Twin Cities when the concept calls for it.
This is a full-service, high-touch experience. Wardrobe planning, locations, concept development, styling, hair and makeup, posing, expression, and the final artwork. You’re not doing any of this alone.
Plymouth has some of the best natural scenery in the west metro, and for seniors who want an outdoor or nature-forward element to their session, we can absolutely build that in. A few of the locations Plymouth seniors and their families know well:
For most Plymouth seniors, the ideal session is a hybrid. Studio work for the bold, magazine-cover images. Outdoor work to anchor the session in a place that means something to you. We plan it together.
I’ve worked with seniors from most of the Plymouth-area schools. Wayzata High School. Armstrong. Providence Academy. Seniors from theater programs, athletic programs, music, dance, STEM, student government, and every combination of interests you can think of.
Your senior year deserves senior pictures that capture who you actually are right now, not a cookie-cutter shoot that looks like everyone else’s yearbook page. If you’re a theater kid, we can build a session around that. If you play three sports and still have opinions on fashion, we can build around that. If you’re graduating early, taking a gap year, heading to a service academy, or going into a trade, we can build around that too.
If you’re a senior or a senior parent, the yearbook deadline is the thing to plan backwards from. Every school sets its own date, every yearbook team handles submissions differently, and they change from year to year. Most Twin Cities schools want portraits in between late October and early January, but the specifics matter.
Here’s what the Plymouth-area schools have looked like in past years. Confirm your school’s current deadline with your yearbook staff before you plan around anything.
Wayzata High School (historical): In the 2025-2026 school year, senior portrait submissions were due November 1, uploaded through the Jostens portal. Email the Wayako yearbook staff at wayako.portraits@gmail.com to confirm the current year’s deadline.
Armstrong High School: Armstrong runs senior submissions through its own yearbook site at armstrongyearbook.com. Dates aren’t listed publicly. Email AHS_Yearbook@rdale.org for the current year’s deadline.
Providence Academy: As a private school, Providence handles senior yearbook submissions internally through the upper school yearbook team. Check your family portal or reach out to the school office for the current deadline.
If your school’s deadline lands in late October or early November, your session needs to happen no later than early fall. That gives us time for the session itself, the image reveal and ordering appointment, retouching, and print delivery before your yearbook submission is due. Rushing any one of those steps is where regrets happen.
It’s a short drive. The session is worth it. And what you get is different from what most Plymouth senior photographers offer.
If you’re reading this and thinking yes, this is the kind of senior session I actually want, head to the senior portraits page for full session details, pricing, and what’s included.
Or reach out directly and we’ll start planning. Most seniors book six to nine months out, so if your session is this summer or fall, now is the time.
